The Speaker Bureau was set up in 2009, in response to feedback and expressed need by both the pharma industry and faculty.
We aim to make the process of securing and managing faculty for speaking engagements a more efficient and smooth process for both parties and believe we offer benefits, reassurance and value to both parties.
Faculty have access to a personal, password protected secure website that details their speaking diary, access to secure links to all meeting materials (brief; slides; travel documentation) and provides them with financial statements enabling them to trace engagements, honoraria, and expense reimbursements.
Pharma clients are able to view and track engagements, contracts and payments from a client-secure area.
Traceability and disclosure:
All transactions are logged and searchable using the speaker bureau management database. All payments are issued by bank transfer unless faculty specifically request cheques. We are able to issue statement of accounts to both clients and faculty to facilitate audit reporting/ tax declarations and te reporting of payments as required in the ABPI guidelines 2011.
Financial guarantees/ safe-guarding:
Monies are collected into a separate company division, with a separate bank account. Funds from this account are solely used for honoraria payments and approved faculty expense reimbursements.
